    • Performs a variety of duties surrounding the biweekly payroll process, including payment of wages, bonuses, allowances, general ledger postings and reconciliations for NASA Federal Credit Union and its subsidiaries.
    • Assists with the preparatory work prior to internal audits or regulatory examinations of the Credit Union and may act as a resource during the audit/examination.
    • Responsible for the timely & accurate processing of payroll and must demonstrate a high level of business integrity while processing confidential employee data.
    • Assists with projects as a team lead and/or team member.
    • Accounting Specialist Payroll II serves as a career path, cross-training and growth opportunity.




    Accounting Specialist - Payroll I (HH)

    Two to three year’s relevant experience and/or education; preferably FPC certified.   Has knowledge of commonly used Accounting and Payroll concepts, practices and procedures.  Capable of ensuring the computing and deduction withholdings are completed accurately and in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Works under immediate supervision. 


    Accounting Specialist - Payroll II (HI)

    Associate's degree (A. A.) in Accounting and/or FPC certified; with three to five years payroll experience.  Familiar with intermediate payroll concepts of taxable vs. non-taxable compensation and benefits and tax reporting requirements.  Works under general supervision.  A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
