    Responsibilities

    JOB SKILLS/DUTIES SUMMARY

    • Assists management to develop and upon approval deploy fraud strategies to detect and prevent fraud losses for NASA FCU cards and ACH Transactions. 
    • Assists management to develop transaction fraud rules which effectively minimize cardmember disruptions while balancing financial impact and risk to the Credit Union.
    • Monitors effectiveness of analytical methods and performance and reports when changes are needed
    • Ability to respond after-hours, weekends and holidays to prevent a fraud event
    • Proficiency working with large datasets
    • Performs statistical analysis, including trend analysis, regression analysis
    • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, with proven skills to effectively manage prioritization while effectively meeting deliverables

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Level I:

    • Two years of risk experience in banking/financial industry preferred.
    • Experience in fraud mitigation and risk analytics in credit card or related consumer products highly preferred.
    • Experience and expertise in VISA Data Manager, Risk Services Manager and Managed Real-Time Programs through VISA preferred.
    • Basic knowledge of statistical concepts, predictive modeling, and analytic tools.

    Level II:

    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in any of the following: Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Business, Finance, Statistics, or a related field is preferred Advanced degree in a quantitative or a related field is highly preferred.
    • Three years of risk experience in banking/financial industry preferred.
    • Experience in fraud mitigation and risk analytics in credit card or related consumer products required.
    • Two years of experience and expertise in successful operations of VISA Data Manager, Risk Services Manager and Managed Real-Time Programs through VISA.
    • Solid knowledge of statistical concepts, predictive modeling, and analytic tools preferred.
