    Responsibilities

    • Processes the opening, closing and maintenance of: business, IRA and HSA, trusts, custodial, representative payee, power of attorney, and estate accounts.
    • Requires an effective understanding of the Credit Union processes such as: basic transactions, system utilization, as well as regulatory compliance.
    • Provides product and services information by phone or via the Internet on the full range of Credit Union products and services.
    • Remains cognizant of and adheres to Credit Union policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
    • Handles all online and electronic general new account and specialty account opening and service inquiries.
    • Processes new account approvals and denials and performs Account Quality Control.
    • Reviews account applications to verify that all required documentation has been received
      • follows up and requests missing information
      • analyzes the information gathered based on Credit Union policy
      • reviews customer identification information, fraud indicators, and credit history
      • determines the terms and conditions of membership
    • Handles all savings, IRA, and certificate of deposit requests received by branch, mail, phone, or electronic services.
    • Ensures the maintenance of existing certificate of deposit by renewing or cancelling certificates upon maturity in response to member requests.
    • Monitors, processes, and verifies annual required minimum distributions and scheduled distributions.
    • Reviews and corrects DDA, Savings, Time Deposit IRA and HSA tax reporting.
    • Compiles statistical information from various consumer reporting systems and assists in creating and/or updating periodic departmental reports.
    • Performs other support and/or administrative duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of two years of banking experience, performing the duties listed
    • College degree and/or certificate in financial counseling, IRA processing, or Business Accounts a plus
